Why become a
Founder?

Founders join while the Edition is being formed. Their early commitment is what lets us secure the right house and build the programme around it, rather than contracting a large block of rooms before we know who is coming — which is how most programmes are forced to work, and why they read like everyone else’s.

Founders are guests, not investors or partners. What they receive for arriving early is written into the terms.

    The lowest published rate

    Founder families receive the lowest published adult rate of the three release stages, first access to the Edition, and priority selection of the strongest standard rooms, connecting-room options and suites.

    A hand in the Edition

    Founder families have a voice in the property we select, the dates, the programme and the details that decide how a week actually feels for a family.

  3. 03

    A protected structure

    The Edition proceeds only once the published threshold is reached. If it does not proceed, the program price, service charge and Program Reserve are refunded in full under the stated terms.

When the third Priority room is reserved, the Priority Program Reserve automatically decreases to €1,000 per room for all Priority families. The Priority reserve remains €1,000 while subsequent Priority enrollment reduces the Founder reserve. At nine Priority reservations, all Program Reserves are released.

The Program Reserve is a temporary amount held per room while the first Edition is being established. It is not part of the price of the week, it cannot exceed its disclosed maximum, and it is designed to decrease as enrollment grows.

Founder and Priority families

Additional advantages
for our first 45 rooms.

  • Complimentary young children

    Children through age four staying in their parents’ room are complimentary for Founder and Priority families. No program price, food charge or KCT service charge is added for these children, subject to the hotel’s permitted room occupancy.

  • Additional guests at actual cost

    No KCT markup

    For Founder and Priority families, additional children or adults in the same room are charged only the actual incremental costs — food, hotel occupancy charges, taxes, direct program costs and other mandatory per-person expenses.

  • Upgrades at the net hotel difference

    No KCT markup

    Founder and Priority families may request suites, connecting rooms, upgraded views and premium categories, subject to availability, and pay only the hotel’s net incremental cost above the included standard room.

The families who establish the Edition receive more than an earlier rate: they receive transparent, cost-based family supplements and hotel upgrades without a KCT markup.

What is the
Program Reserve?

The Program Reserve protects the economics of launching the first Edition before the final guest count is known. As enrollment increases, the reserve requirement is designed to decrease.

It is not an additional fixed fee, and it is not part of the price of the week. It is a temporary, capped amount attached to each room. Any released portion is refunded or credited toward the family’s remaining balance.

The detailed mechanics

The Edition will be confirmed when all 25 Founder rooms and at least five Priority Circle rooms have been reserved by the published decision date. Until that threshold is reached, all payments remain protected.

The first two Priority reservations carry a €1,500 room reserve. When the third Priority room is reserved, the Priority reserve automatically decreases to €1,000.

When five Priority rooms are reserved, the Edition is confirmed and the Founder reserve decreases to approximately €1,190 per room. As further Priority rooms are reserved it continues to decrease automatically, and at nine Priority reservations all Founder and Priority Program Reserves are released.

If the Edition does not reach its published go/no-go threshold by the decision date, all program payments, service charges and Program Reserves are refunded in full.

Five Priority reservations are required to confirm the Edition.

The Founder maximum is the Edition price plus whatever reserve is currently held against the room — €8,580 + the reserve above. The price of the week does not change with enrollment; only the reserve does, and it can never exceed its disclosed maximum.

What is the Program Reserve?

A temporary, capped amount held per room while the first Edition is being established. It is not a second charge for the holiday and it is not part of the price of the week — it is refunded or credited toward the family’s remaining balance as it is released.

Why does it exist?

It protects the economics of launching a first Edition before the final guest count is known, so that KCT can secure the property and build the programme without contracting a large block of rooms on speculation. As enrollment grows, the amount required from the earliest families decreases.

When is the Edition confirmed?

When all 25 Founder rooms and at least five Priority Circle rooms have been reserved by the published decision date.

When does the reserve decline?

The first two Priority reservations carry a €1,500 room reserve; when the third Priority room is reserved the Priority reserve decreases to €1,000. When the fifth Priority room is reserved the Edition is confirmed and the Founder reserve decreases to approximately €1,190 per room, and it continues to decrease with each further Priority reservation.

When is it released?

At nine Priority reservations, all Founder and Priority Program Reserves are released.

What if the Edition does not proceed?

If the published go/no-go threshold is not reached by the decision date, all program payments, service charges and Program Reserves are refunded in full under the stated terms.

How are children priced?

What about suites and connecting rooms?

Founder and Priority families may request suites, connecting rooms, upgraded views and premium categories subject to availability, and pay the hotel’s net incremental cost above the included standard room, again without a KCT markup. Final Release upgrades follow the applicable Final Release pricing.

Are Founders investors?

No. Founders are guests making an early commitment to an Edition. They are not investors, owners, partners or financial backers, and they receive no share of revenue or ownership — they receive the earliest access, the lowest published rate and a voice in shaping the week.

What becomes binding, and when?

Nothing on this page is a reservation. Full written reservation, payment, cancellation and refund terms are provided before a reservation becomes binding, and a reservation is made under those written terms.
