Trip Terms
The terms behind
every booking
The practical and legal terms that apply once a reservation is made. Ask us anything here before you book — we would rather explain it than have it be a surprise.
Accommodation
Junior or master suites may be reserved for a supplement, as outlined by the property's policy, after booking is complete.
The trip format
This is an independent trip with group activities, not a guided tour. You have your own car and can explore on your own schedule.
Meals
A full breakfast and a gourmet dinner are served at the villa. Picnic lunches are provided for days out, unless a lunch is otherwise part of a cooking workshop.
Rental car
A sedan with manual transmission is included. An upgrade to automatic transmission is available for an additional €350.
Payment
The full trip cost is charged at the time of booking, in USD, by credit card (a 3% service fee applies) or bank transfer. The exchange rate is fixed as of the invoice date, at the nominal rate plus 1.5%.
Cancellations & refunds
Kosher Culinary Travel reserves the right to cancel any programme for any reason; if a programme is cancelled, all monies are refunded, and such a refund releases Kosher Culinary Travel from any further liability. To cancel a reservation, you must send email notification — monies paid are refunded less a cancellation fee determined as of the date we receive that notice: 50% of the total fee ninety days or more before the programme start date, and 100% of the cost of the trip within eighty-nine days of the start date. Kosher Culinary Travel reserves the right to hold these charges as credit toward a future trip instead, less a handling fee per person.
Travel insurance
We recommend the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance to cover the cancellation fees outlined above, which apply regardless of the reason for cancellation. Kosher Culinary Travel carries no insurance for medical expenses, lost luggage, or any other damage or loss that may occur to a participant, however caused.
Responsibility
Reservation indicates agreement with all terms and conditions stated on this page. Kosher Culinary Travel reserves the right to make itinerary changes whenever, in its sole judgment, conditions warrant, and shall not be liable, directly or indirectly, for any injury, death or damage for any reason whatsoever — including but not limited to war, acts of God, weather, strike, detention, delay, or airline or other travel-related circumstances. Kosher Culinary Travel also reserves the right to accept or refuse any person as a guest; no refund is applicable if a guest is asked to leave. Kosher Culinary Travel is not responsible for belongings damaged, lost or left behind by a guest.
