On location: what the KCT producer does

A KCT producer is there, running the program, so that you are not.

A detail from a KCT destination celebration

Somebody on the ground

This is the single clearest difference between KCT and a travel planner. Somebody from KCT is on the ground, managing the team, handling what changes, absorbing the problems and keeping the family out of the operations of their own holiday. You should never be the person calling the driver, chasing the supplier or deciding what happens when the weather turns.

What the producer and team handle

  • The kitchen: the executive chef, the sous chefs and pastry, and the mashgiach working to the standard agreed in advance
  • Service, housekeeping and household staff, and the running of the house
  • Drivers, transfers, tenders, port and marina work, and the movement of people, equipment and provisions
  • Guides and private experiences, chosen for the family
  • Shabbat and Yom Tov: minyanim, Sifrei Torah, eruvin, timers, synagogue introductions and festive meals
  • A single point of accountability for everything happening on the ground

Why it matters

Most of the work of a journey happens before the family has packed: properties and yachts contracted, chefs and mashgichim confirmed, the kitchen kashered, provisioning routes set. The on-location stage is where that preparation is run day by day. For the stages before it, see how we work. For the people involved, see About, and for the standard, kashrut.
